5 Track Rules Every Runners Must Know

Running track is getting easier to be found in Indonesia nowadays. But not every runners know the rules. Let’s learn.

Running track in Indonesia is not limited to big cities only now. The good thing is we can have access to do our training easier. Unfortunately, the awareness level of track etiquette among our runners is still low. What is track etiquette actually? Let’s learn.

1/ Use the Correct lane

There is a pecking order for lanes in track. Usually a track has 8 lanes. The inner lanes (lane 1 & 2) often reserved for fast runners or those doing speed workout. Vice versa, the outer lanes (lane 7 & 8) are for walker and those who are doing cool down. The inner track allows fast runner to pass slower runners more easily.

Maximized your training with the best running shoes. Get men’s collection and women’s collection.

2/ Run in the Right Direction

The rule of thumb is running counter clockwise. Going with the flow reduces the chances of a collision.

3/ Don't Stop on the Track

Avoid stopping in the track, especially in inner lanes . Beside you might end up getting hit, tracks are for running only. If you want to finish your training, slow down and move to the outer lanes.

Make sure you’re training with comfortable apparels. Check our collection: men’s jersey, men’s short,  women’s jersey, and women’s tight.

4/ Pass Correctly

Track etiquette generally calls for runners to pass others on the right. If you run slow, be conscious to move out and give way to faster runners.

5/ Don’t Listen to Music, Text or Use Your Phone on the Track.

It is dangerous to yourself and others.
